I've been using Bittorrent for downloading my favorite shows for quite a while, I think it's the best p2p technology to get TV shows.
I am using µTorrent as a client and torrentz.com for searching.
However after leaving my machine seeding the torrents for a while (you got what you give) I feel that my Internet speed is getting slow even after I shutdown the bittorrent client, it turns out that the there are many trackers that caches the connected client and thus I keep getting connection request even after closing the client and this is causing a kinda of DOS attack to my machine and thus slowing the Internet connection.
Solution is simple just disconnect and connect again to the Internet to change my IP address, sometimes the ISP gives me the same IP so I've to do it again until I get a new IP and gain the speed back.
